Update on the largest price changes last week of homes for sale in Gainesville & Alachua County. 143 Alachua County & Gainesville real estate listings had price reductions in the MLS system last week, down from 174 the prior week. Living in Eloise Gardens

Eloise Gardens is a quiet neighborhood close to I-75, shops, restaurants, Haile Golf Course, schools, and the Archer Road corridor.

There are several open “green” areas, a play ground, and plenty of trees. There are also walking trails surrounding Eloise Gardens that connect it to several nearby neighborhoods. Great for joggers, hikers, or bike riders.

This is an update on real estate market activity for properties along Millhopper Road, Gainesville FL, for the first half of 2009. The focus of the report is on upscale and luxury homes in the area, asking $400,000 and up.
Recent Sales: 9 homes have sold so far in 2009. The original asking prices ranged from $415,000 to $899,900. The median selling price was $650,000 for a 4 bedroom 3.5 bath home at 3,425 sqft, on the market for 280 days.

As of this writing there are 8 active listings. The lot sizes range from .25 to .33 acres, which is very typical for this neighborhood. The homes sizes range from a smaller 1,660 sq ft home to a large 3,340 sq ft home. (heated and cooled area of course!)
Since the first of the year only two homes have closed and the new buyers moved in.
