I was born in northern Wisconsin, the fifth of twelve children. My parents had 3 sets of twins (no, I am not a twin).

I spent the first 25 yrs of my life in that cold northwoods, then moved to sunny, warm Key West with my family where I started my real estate career. I worked for many owner/developers in the area over 25 yrs, marketing, advertising, training and managing the sales force, and of course closing many transactions. My expertise in negotiating and managing brought sales to record levels at many of these locations.

When our daughter announced her number one pick of colleges was the University of Florida over the many schools she had received scholarships from, we wondered why and decided would visit the campus with open eyes. Soon we realized that we also had fallen in love with the Gainesville area, the Gators (back then it was all about Emmit Smith), and Gainesville’s friendly residents.

When it came time to retire, moving close to our daughter, taking in a Gator game now and again, and being around such wonderful friendly people, we said yes to Gainesville for our retirement. Soon, I realized I enjoyed dealing with homes too much to walk away from it forever and that selling real estate was a great way to spend my time here.

Now my daughter and I own and operate Seide Realty, and we are building a great team. Welcome to my retirement!
