Ellis Park is a neighborhood in NW Gainesville, at the end of NW 23rd ave. The people living here enjoy the location for it's easy access to lower-traffic roads, nearby shopping, and highly ranked schools.
The neighborhood is designed to encourage a welcome, walking feel. Many homes have rear-entry garages, leaving the front yards for attractive things like landscaping and walk-ways. Curb side parking is encouraged because it tends to slow down traffic and helps encourage a safe and quiet feeling to the area.
Ellis Park is being developed by Robnishore. They are building contemporary homes with a nod to classic features (like front porches). Many homes have large gathering rooms and luxury master bedrooms. They are on small lots, usually around 1/5 of an acre.
The design of Ellis Park, with on street parking & parking garages in the rear lane, reminds me of old Chicago streets. This could be a very friendly community.
